On July 12 and 13, we’ll see you on the digital shop floor.
Primed and ready
Got a Prime account? Good. Because Amazon Prime Day is around the corner, and it’s packing more deals than Black Friday.
The two-day sale event offers members around the globe the opportunity to take advantage of enormous deals, with a primary focus on its own tech products. From TVs to tablets, and Kindles to Echo Dots, Amazon Prime Day is a time to go big. And the proof is in the numbers, with total e-commerce sales rocketing up to $11 billion during last year’s two-day shopping extravaganza.
Deals for days
This is the seventh year of Amazon Prime Day, which kicked off back in 2015 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. Now, it’s become something of a tradition for bargain hunters around the world, and what’s not to love? The wild, Black Friday scramble for discounts – but from the comfort of your own home.
Previous years have been such a raging success for Amazon, that other retailers have hopped on the sale-day bandwagon. Target, for example, announced its ‘Deal Days’ only a couple of days after this year’s Prime Day was announced, in an effort to keep up with Bezos’ unrelenting sales machine. And you know, if companies are going to grapple each other in a race to the bottom, we’re all for it. Who doesn’t love a sale, right?
