Twitter shuffles the executive pack

In preparation for Elon Musk’s takeover, CEO Parag Agrawal has been giving his execs the tap on the shoulder.

Laying the groundwork

One by one, Twitter’s top executives took to Twitter announcing in more or less unceremonious terms that they were being moved on. Kayvon Beckpour and Bruce Falck both posted on the platform about their departures, before Agrawal himself gave public thanks to the pair for their hard work.

How well these well-wishes were received though is anyone’s guess. In a deleted tweet, Falck actually stated that he had been fired, or at the very least was asked to leave. We’ll just file Agrawal’s ‘thanks’ and ‘admiration’ under the passive-aggressive file.

The man who would be king

Twitter went on to release an official statement confirming that the duo were moving on, and that a moratorium was being placed on recruitment for the time being. Twitter has recently decided to reign in its costs for the short-term – and there’s little doubt why.

Elon Musk’s takeover is set to be completed imminently, but hasn’t been finalized just yet. Exactly where he’s planning to take the platform from here is anyone’s guess, but it’s hardly a stretch to link the shuffling seats in the Twitter exec room with the impending takeover

As the pieces start to move in Musk’s Twitter masterplan, Twitter’s head honchos might be wondering: Who’s next?
