The monster deal will see the American Football king become the network’s lead announcer.

Hut, hut, hike!

Tom Brady will eventually retire – this much we know. He may have gone into half-retirement in February before quickly jumping back onto the field, but it’s only a matter of time. But even a comeback king like Brady will, in the end, need to call it a day.

And when that day finally comes, Brady will be heading to Fox. He’ll be the network’s lead NFL announcer, and according to the rumors, he’ll be signing on for around 10 years.

Sweetening the deal

But nobody does anything these days without a sweetener. And as reports of his career planning filtered into the Twitterverse, so did his eyewatering pay package. That’s his $375 million pay package, by the way.

But while Brady might be planning for the next step, he’s been quick to dampen down any suggestion that the end is nigh. In a tweet, he said that he was delighted to have signed the deal, but quickly added that there was still plenty of work ahead for him and the Buccaneers. Ever the pro.

The deal will see Brady earn more over his 10-year deal with Fox than he earned as a sportsman – so while he might still have his sights on his playing career, there’s clearly life after ball for this baller.
