A Justice Department investigation is ongoing into the son of President Biden for potentially dubious dealings.

The Hunter becomes the hunted

Stories of Hunter Biden’s bad business behavior have been following him around for some time. A US attorney has been on his tail since 2018, but with ongoing investigations hampered by the pandemic and the 2020 election, things have continued to drag.

Now though, the investigation is gaining traction, as a new round of witnesses begin providing testimonies to federal investigators. And with more expected to provide interviews in the coming weeks, could it be bad news for the Bidens?

Trump stirring the pot

We can all be sure that one person is absolutely revelling in the unfolding Biden drama: Donald Trump. After recently making calls for Vladimir Putin to dish any dirt he has on the Biden family, Trump has long been a leading voice in the charge against Hunter Biden’s apparent wrongdoings. Trump himself, of course, has an immaculate record in his own business dealings…

Biden Jr. does indeed have a chequered history. Having openly discussed his substance abuse in the past, the ongoing saga of his business dealings – which includes tax issues and foreign lobbying – raises questions about his ethics and behavior.

The President himself has said he won’t interfere in the independence of the Justice Department. But as the investigation heats up, an incriminating outcome for Hunter could make a serious dent in the Biden administration’s reputation.
